In the beginning, like many startups, we opted to outsource several operational and strategic areas, thinking it would be more efficient and allow us to grow faster.
We quickly (and sometimes painfully) learned something crucial: efficiency, commitment, and vision can't be outsourced.
If we wanted to scale with quality and speed, we needed our own in-house team, even a small one. So, we bet big on in-house teams, even though we knew it would mean more work initially. We strongly believe that the operational and strategic core of a business must be built from within.
Instead of adding volume, we chose to add calibre: a small number of members selected for their cultural fit, interest, and ability to learn quickly. The challenge was twofold:
We did it. Our strategy was based on a simple guide: the 3 C's rule (Commitment, Communication, and Confidence). Without being the entire process, it served as a cultural compass to align teams from day one.
Today, we work with several teams. They're small but strategic. Each person knows exactly where their impact lies and why their role matters. In times when automation is key, resources are scarce, and our goal is to have everyone pulling in the same direction. Real efficiency doesn't depend on how many of us there are, but on clarity, process quality, and how fast we move.
When you build culture, systems, and standards from the start, a small, well-aligned team can generate an enormous impact. The key is to build simple but solid processes that are useful, and then improve from there. Systems that allow you to scale without losing effectiveness or agility. And, most importantly, cultivating a strong internal culture where every person understands that their contribution is essential and that everyone is rowing in the same direction.
Theory is valuable, but practice is what transforms. If you want to see how an agile team can optimize your finances, schedule a demo and we'll show you how we do it.
